Market Integrity
Predict is built from the ground up to be auditable. Every market resolution, every trade, and every game outcome is independently verifiable. This page explains exactly how we maintain integrity.

CFTC Regulated
The only federally designated contract market (DCM) for event contracts in the US. Every market follows CFTC rules.
On-chain verifiable
All trades, settlements, and game outcomes are published on-chain. Anyone can verify any result independently.
Segregated funds
User funds are held in segregated accounts, never commingled with operational capital. Withdrawals are processed daily.
24h dispute window
Every market resolution can be disputed within 24 hours. Senior reviewers investigate all disputes within 4 hours.

Source hierarchy
Markets resolve based on objective, verifiable real-world outcomes. Our resolution team uses a strict source hierarchy:
1. Official government or regulatory announcements 2. Major international news agencies (Reuters, AP, Bloomberg) 3. Official sports bodies (FIFA, NBA, ICC, ATP, UEFA, IOC) 4. Verified on-chain data for crypto markets 5. Company official communications (earnings releases, SEC filings)
Ambiguous, unavailable, or disputed information triggers a resolution delay rather than a guess.
Resolution timeline
Most markets resolve within 2 hours of the event outcome becoming publicly verifiable. Markets requiring manual review (e.g., disputed sporting events) resolve within 24 hours. Payouts are credited automatically as soon as resolution is confirmed.
Voided markets
If an event is cancelled, indefinitely postponed, or the outcome cannot be objectively determined, the market is voided. All positions are refunded at full value — YES and NO shares both pay $1. Voided markets are clearly labelled and never count toward a user's trading history.
How to file a dispute
Any user can dispute a market resolution within 24 hours of settlement. Go to the resolved market page, click 'Dispute Resolution,' and provide:
• Your reasoning and the specific factual error • Supporting sources (links to official announcements, news articles, etc.) • Your proposed correct outcome
Alternatively, email disputes@predict.com with the market link and evidence.
Review process
All disputes are reviewed by a senior member of the Market Integrity team within 4 hours. The review is independent of the original resolution decision. If the dispute succeeds:
• The market is re-settled with the corrected outcome • All payouts are recalculated and adjusted • Impacted users are notified by email and in-app notification
If the dispute is rejected, a full written explanation is provided.
Bad-faith disputes
Frivolous or repeated bad-faith disputes (e.g., disputing a clear outcome to delay settlement) may result in account review. We track dispute history, and users with a pattern of unfounded disputes may have their dispute access limited.
Creation requirements
All markets on Predict are created or approved by the Market Integrity team. Every market must meet:
• Objectively verifiable outcome — no subjective 'which is better' questions • Clear resolution source specified at creation time • Reasonable time horizon (no expiry beyond 2 years) • Binary YES/NO structure or clearly defined multi-candidate set • No markets on personal harm, ongoing criminal proceedings, or events that incentivize real-world harm
Community ideas
Users can submit market ideas via the Ideas page or by contacting support. Submitted ideas are reviewed within 48 hours. Ideas that meet our standards are created within 5 business days. We prioritize high-demand topics and timely events.
Market deactivation
Markets may be deactivated (paused) if the underlying event changes materially before resolution (e.g., a candidate drops out of an election). Trading halts, open orders are cancelled and escrowed funds refunded, and a new market may be created reflecting the updated event.
Automated surveillance
Predict runs continuous automated surveillance to detect market manipulation including:
• Wash trading (self-matching to inflate volume) • Coordinated price pushing (groups acting together to move prices) • Insider trading (trading on material non-public information) • Spoofing (placing and cancelling large orders to mislead other traders) • Account farming (creating multiple accounts to abuse promotions)
Enforcement
Violations result in a graduated response:
1. Warning for minor or first-time violations 2. Immediate position cancellation 3. Account suspension pending investigation 4. Permanent ban and fund forfeiture for confirmed deliberate manipulation
All enforcement decisions are reviewed by two senior team members before action is taken.
Reporting
If you suspect manipulation, report it via the market's 'Report' button or by emailing integrity@predict.com. Reports are reviewed within 4 hours. Reporters are kept anonymous, and false reports are not penalised if made in good faith.
What bots do
To ensure markets have liquidity 24/7, Predict runs simulation users ('bots') that place bets and trades using the same RNG and house edge as real players. Bots do not have any informational advantage — they use public price data only and do not see other users' orders before they execute.
Transparency
Bots are clearly labelled on the public Explorer — every bot trade is visible and attributable to a bot account. Bots do not appear in public leaderboards. The number of active bots is controlled by admin via the admin panel and is adjustable in real-time.
Auditability
All bot activity is fully auditable via the Explorer at /explore. Every bot transaction creates a permanent on-chain record. The bot pool settings (count, trading parameters) are logged in our admin audit trail.
How it works
All casino games use a provably fair commitment scheme:
1. Before each round begins, the server generates a random server seed and publishes its SHA-256 hash. 2. You provide or confirm a client seed (randomised by default). 3. The round outcome is deterministically computed from the combination of server seed + client seed + round nonce. 4. After the round, the server reveals the full server seed — you can verify the hash matches what was published.
This guarantees we cannot change the outcome after you've placed your bet.
Verification
You can verify any round's outcome using our on-chain verifier at /explore. Enter any round ID to see the full seed chain. Independent verification tools and formulas are published in our technical documentation — you don't have to trust our verifier.
House edge
House edge rates are disclosed on every game page. Prediction markets run at approximately 1% edge (embedded in the AMM spread). Casino games range from 1% (Dice) to 4% (Slots). We do not charge additional fees on top of the house edge — what you see is what you pay.
Report an integrity concern
If you witness manipulation, incorrect resolution, bot abuse, or any suspicious activity — report it. All reports are reviewed within 4 hours. Your identity is kept confidential.
